Over 120 countries now have access to the PC beta version of Google Play Games, allowing users to enjoy their favorite mobile games through this computer-adapted system. Google has announced this development and continues to work towards its official release.
This beta, which has undergone thorough work by Google and individual developers, will offer users from 121 countries worldwide the opportunity to test some of their favorite games in the classic PC format, adapting touch screen controls for our computers.
Mobile games on our PC
Google details that this beta, expected to have an official release in the future, will allow users to play smartphone games within the Windows 10 and higher ecosystems. Currently, there will be a specific selection of games available, as the adaptation to keyboard and mouse controls requires optimization.
Over 100 games are currently available in this open beta version for all users, thanks to Google’s support for the developers involved in the project. This could be a significant advancement for free-to-play games compared to other paid services like Xbox Game Pass or NVIDIA GeForce Now‘s cloud gaming service.
