Gearbox Software has revealed the details about the first downloadable content (DLC) pack for Borderlands 4, titled Bounty Pack 1: How Rush Saved Mercenary Day, which will be released on November 20. This DLC, focused on an exciting narrative, will feature new missions, enemies, and legendary gear. In this story, Mercenary Day—a holiday reminiscent of Christmas—is threatened by the Minister of Culture of the Time Guardian, forcing players to defend this celebration using a variety of weapons, grenades, and special abilities.
A DLC that is presented as essential for fans
Players who complete the missions of the DLC will have the opportunity to unlock a Vault Card that offers rewards, in addition to enjoying 24 cosmetic items and 4 rerollable gear pieces, which will allow for equipment with different statistics to be obtained when collected multiple times. This additional content will be available for those who purchased the Deluxe editions of Borderlands 4, and it can also be purchased separately or in a package that will include the four scheduled DLCs.
Additionally, Gearbox has announced a free seasonal event titled Horrors of Kairos, which will take place from October 23 to November 6. During this mini-event, players will be able to face world bosses in areas affected by blood rain, offering the chance to obtain new legendary loot. New seasonal cosmetics will also be released through SHiFT codes, further enriching the gaming experience.
Finally, new endgame content is expected to be introduced in the fourth quarter, featuring a fierce boss named Bloomreaper the Invincible. This encounter will require players to adapt their builds to cope with his massive health and powerful attacks, giving Borderlands fans plenty to look forward to in the coming months.
