The fourth season of Marvel Rivals will be released on September 12, introducing two new playable characters to the roster: Daredevil and Angela. A 90-second trailer has left fans impressed, showcasing a showdown between Daredevil, the brave lawyer turned vigilante, and Angela, a demigod goddess from Asgard. The animations are stunning and have been compared to iconic scenes from Dragon Ball Z, where one can see Matt Murdock at the peak of his combat potential.
Two new characters, but few details about them
Despite the excitement generated by the trailer, information about the gameplay mechanics of Daredevil and Angela has been scarce. Marvel has confirmed that Angela will be a Vanguard class character, and she will be released alongside update 4.0; however, it is still unclear whether Daredevil will be available from the start of the season or will be implemented later. This uncertainty has left players eager for the revelation of more details about their gameplay.
Season 4 will also bring a new Convergence map called K’un-Lun: Heart of Heaven, which will be introduced on September 25. Additionally, there will be new skills available and updates to existing skills, suggesting a focus on diversifying gameplay tactics. On the other hand, the arrival of the PS4 version of the game at the start of the season has been confirmed, raising hopes that it will run smoothly on the old generation console.
Finally, the developers of Marvel Rivals have received permission to create original characters, which means there could be future surprises in the game. NetEase has advised fans to “stay tuned” for more announcements about this original content, adding an air of mystery and excitement to the anticipation of the new season.
