The production of the film will be handled by the Jonas Brothers themselves along with a team that includes Adam Fishbach, Spencer Berman, Scott Morgan, and the screenwriters Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger. The direction will be led by Jessica Yu, known for her work on Quiz Lady and Only Murders in the Building. Additionally, the renowned Grammy-nominated composer Justin Tranter, who has collaborated with artists like Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez, will be responsible for writing original songs for the film.
The brothers unveiled the project through an announcement that pays tribute to the classic Christmas movie Love Actually, where they nod to the iconic scene with the signs, eliciting laughter with their comedic interaction. In the clip, Joe and Nick play with the idea of not revealing too much, highlighting the excitement of this new Christmas venture.
The relationship of the Jonas Brothers with Disney began in 2007, when they signed with Hollywood Records, gaining popularity with hits like Year 3000 and S.O.S.. Additionally, they participated in productions like Hannah Montana and Camp Rock. After a separation in 2012, the trio reunited in 2019, releasing the hit Sucker. More recently, the brothers released a new single titled Slow Motion with Marshmello, continuing their musical journey.
