A player known on Reddit as purpleturtlehurtler has revealed an impressive combination of speed and fun in Oblivion Remastered, through a brief 90-second video. In it, a high elf plays with a custom character named Master Blaster. This elf mage jumps from a snowy slope and flies towards the sunny Imperial City, even managing to cross the waters of the Niben without losing speed in the process, all without using console commands, modifications, or the typical skooma consumption for a temporary bonus.
A combination that hilariously breaks the game
The key to this feat lies in a unique spell creation technique. In the game, attribute enchantments that normally do not stack their bonuses can do so if created under different names. This allows players to stack them, thereby fortifying attributes such as intelligence, will, and magic, which in turn unlocks spells that enhance acrobatics, speed, and athletics. With an acrobatics score exceeding 475 points, which likely started from 100, this elf has the ability to jump over water thanks to the mastery skill unlocked with at least 75 points in acrobatics.
It is important to note that, unlike the original version of Oblivion, which had a limit of 255 points in attributes and skills due to the 32-bit architecture of the Gamebryo engine, Oblivion Remastered has removed those restrictions. This not only opens the door to more complex calculations in skills like jumping but also leaves the possibility of seeing new gameplay strategies, such as Icarian Flight, which could take players to new heights, literally. This would justify its spectacular sales.
