The protagonist of Crimson Desert, Kliff, has been criticized for his lack of charisma, which has led some players to question the decision of the developer Pearl Abyss not to allow character customization. However, the modder Khione95 has taken the initiative by releasing a mod that allows players to replace Kliff with a heroine they can customize to their liking.
A mod to play as you wish
The modification, available on Nexus Mods, offers users a variety of options for hair and facial appearance, humorously presented in the interface as “beards.” Although the mod allows for adjustments to “most” of the available armors to fit the new female character, Khione95 warns that some of the facial settings may not work perfectly, as they do not fit the character’s facial geometry as expected. Additionally, the heroine will still have to use Kliff’s original animations.
For those interested in various customization options, Khione95 has announced plans to include alternative races such as orcs and goblins, as well as a male version of the character creator. Pto use the custom heroine, an additional voice mod is required, created by Ev3n5taR, which transforms Kliff’s dialogue using a specialized AI model.
In addition to the heroine mod, Khione95 has developed an additional mod called ‘Kliff Workshop’, which allows players to play as a taller version of Kliff himself.
