Dreamhaven, the studio founded by former Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime, is set to launch its new cooperative RPG, Sunderfolk, on April 23. This innovative title combines board game elements and is designed for local multiplayer, allowing each player to control an anthropomorphic animal from their own smartphone, thus facilitating a smoother and more personalized gaming experience without interrupting the flow for others.
Dreamhaven releases games like hotcakes
Initially announced in October 2024, Sunderfolk has been generating excitement since its presentation at a showcase led by Geoff Keighley. On this occasion, it was shared that a demo of the game is available on GeForce Now until April 7, allowing players to experience its gameplay before the official release.
In addition to Sunderfolk, Dreamhaven also revealed Wildgate, an ambitious team-based shooting game set to launch in 2025. In Wildgate, five teams of four players will compete for an artifact on procedurally generated maps, offering chaotic dynamics and combat both on land and in space. Players will have to decide whether to pursue the artifact or eliminate their rivals, adding a level of strategy that could revolutionize the way multiplayer shooters are played.
On May 22, Dreamhaven will also release Lynked: Banner of the Spark, an action and life simulation game that will include a new biome and a complete story. On the other hand, its recent acquisition, Mechabellum, an auto-battler strategy game, will be free on Steam from April 4 to 8, which will encourage its spread among strategy game enthusiasts.
With this diverse and ambitious portfolio, Dreamhaven seems to be at the forefront and in a moment of abundant content, prioritizing unique multiplayer experiences that will capture the interest of different audiences.
