The plot centers on Frank Remnick, a police chief played by Jason Clarke, who faces the serious situation arising from the crash of a prison transport plane in a remote area of Alaska. This incident not only leads to the escape of dangerous inmates but also triggers a series of events that would transform Remnick’s life and the safety of his community. As he investigates, the officer begins to suspect that the accident is part of a more elaborate plan.
The series features characteristic elements of 1990s action thrillers, drawing inspiration from titles like ‘Con Air’ and ‘The Fugitive’. According to Bokenkamp, the focus is to provide escapist entertainment, avoiding political themes. Alongside Remnick, the story includes Sidney, played by Haley Bennett, a CIA agent who seeks to regain her superiors’ favor by capturing an extremely dangerous prisoner.
