Good news for Tekken 8 players. Bandai Namco just announced a few hours ago that their new character, Lidia Sobieska, is closer than we thought: She’ll be available for the first time on Monday, July 22nd.
According to the information provided, the character will be available on July 22nd for buyers of the Year 1 Playable Character Pass, while all other mortals will have to wait until July 25th for a price of 7.99 euros or around $8.71 (it won’t be many more days either).
This new character for Tekken 8, who already took the occasion to appear at the end of the Tekken 7 lifespan, is a karateka with a funny peculiarity: she’s the ruler of Poland. Lidia Sobieska has a very tragic backstory involving her family, where Heihachi Mishima plays a great role (as usual in Tekken, nothing can surprise us at this point).
Along with the Polish karate expert, an update for Tekken 8 to version 1.06 will also be released. This update aims to fix bugs; it also includes a free battle stage set in a paradise hotel called “Seaside Resort“.
