Alan Ritchson, who has gained significant fame for his role as Jack Reacher in the Prime Video series, has an extensive history portraying superheroes long before his breakout performance in the action thriller.
Ritchson first appeared as Arthur Curry, better known as Aquaman, in the iconic television series Smallville, where he made his mark across four episodes.
He later reprised his superheroic identity as Hank Hall, or Hawk, in Titans, showcasing his versatility with a noteworthy 18-episode run.

Although Ritchson’s portrayal of Reacher has solidified his star status, his passion for superhero roles remains strong. In recent interviews, he expressed a deep desire to take on the mantle of Batman, stating he would happily do so even without financial compensation.
This enthusiasm underscores Ritchson’s commitment to the genre and his eagerness to explore different facets of iconic characters within the superhero universe.
Interestingly, Ritchson almost entered the Marvel Cinematic Universe before his rise to fame. He auditioned for the role of Thor, a part that ultimately went to Chris Hemsworth.
Reflecting on the experience, Ritchson admitted to having been somewhat cavalier at the time, believing that physical resemblance to a character would clinch the role. “I thought: ‘I’ll get the part just because I look like him; nobody actually cares about the acting,'” he recounted to Men’s Health.
As anticipation builds for the fourth season of Reacher, which is currently in production, fans are left wondering where Ritchson’s superhero journey might lead next.
Speculation abounds about whether he will return to the DC Universe or take a chance in the ever-expanding Marvel landscape. For now, his plate is full, but his passion for powerful roles clearly remains undiminished.
