Introducing Blasphemous at this point is absurd. The Penitent One has become one of the best-selling video games in the history of Spain with more than three million copies, and growing, thanks to its latest version, that has just been released for smartphones.
If you have a mobile phone with Android as the operating system, you can now return to Custodia in the palm of your hand. This new version, created by The Game Kitchen themselves (the creators), is available on the Google Play Store for $7.99. The best part? For this price, we find the best possible version of Blasphemous.
To be exact, this version includes the base game plus all of the downloadable content released—that is The Stir of Dawn, Strife & Ruin, and Wounds of Eventide. Likewise, the touch controls have been optimized for smartphones, with a complete redesign of the menu to offer a better experience than the original. And yes, don’t worry: there is also controller compatibility.
The game features an impressive level of detail, so as long as you have a good device with an OLED screen that performs well technically, you will play Blasphemous in impressive quality.
What about people who have iOS? Well, they will have to wait a little longer. To be exact, its release is scheduled for the next February 24, 2025, so we won’t see it for another two months. The good thing is that this delay is to optimize this version as much as possible, so it is welcome.
