The latest is the movie Kimetsu no Yaiba: The Infinite Fortress, which premiered on July 18 in Japan and has landed with a powerful box office success since its first day. In its debut, it managed to earn more than 1.7 billion yen, approximately 10.5 million euros, setting a new opening record in the country, even surpassing the previous mark held by its predecessor, Kimetsu no Yaiba: Infinity Train.

During its first weekend, the movie continued its unstoppable rise by grossing a total of 5.9 billion yen, equivalent to about 34.38 million euros. With the high expectations surrounding this title, it is anticipated that its success could extend to other countries, where it is scheduled to be released in the coming months, placing it on a path to become the highest-grossing anime film in history.
The first reactions from the audience have been notably positive, highlighting the quality of the animation and the elaborate action sequences that characterize Ufotable’s distinctive style. However, there are also criticisms regarding the film’s duration of over two hours, as some viewers feel it has an uneven pace that could become tedious, as well as a level of violence that may not be to everyone’s taste.
Fans in Spain will have to wait until September 12 to enjoy Kimetsu no Yaiba: The Infinite Fortress in theaters. In the meantime, the community of followers is on the lookout and alert to avoid spoilers that could ruin the premiere experience.
