The “find my device” feature from Google will receive new improvements
Google continues to work on providing a better service to users, and they are currently focused on the functions of finding devices. This is shown in the new update of “find my device”, which, from now on, will offer the user more tools and options to manage the different peripherals that are connected to the mobile phone.
As Android Police explains, these are the new features that will be coming to Google’s “find my device” function. In addition to being able to carry out this basic function, it will soon also allow for biometric linking so that it only activates when the user verifies their identity on the phone. Likewise, there is also a new remote lock setting that will prevent connected devices from being used until this lock is deactivated.
At the moment, there is no exact date for the arrival of this feature, but it is already being finalized to land on Android phones very soon. With this, “find my device” will take one of its biggest leaps in quality since Google started supporting this service.
Google’s interest in the remote
It is not too surprising that this news has come from Google, which, in addition to providing important privacy and security improvements to users, also gives them greater control over their devices. And it is that, in addition to the obvious benefits that this service implies, this decision is in line with another quite recent one, such as the activation of a new function that allows Google TV to find your lost TV remote.

There have also been thousands of layoffs within the company, but there is still a considerable amount of human capital working daily.
