A few weeks ago we were able to see exclusively the first trailer of The Acolyte, the highly anticipated Star Wars series that will arrive on June 4th on Disney Plus. The fiction was celebrated by an immense majority; after all, we will see Jedis in their heyday. However, it did not convince the classic fans of Star Wars as much, since the production of the series did not seem to live up to its story.
However, Disney Plus has just released a new trailer that seems to redeem what was previously seen. With a much higher epicness, focusing on the dark side and making it clear that the threat of the Sith in this series is much more serious than it seemed, now it seems that The Acolyte can indeed become the series of the year for the saga.
Darth Plagueis or Darth Tenebrous?
In this new trailer we can also see a final revelation that makes it clear that we will see a familiar face for the fans. That “What are you?” doesn’t seem to be a joke, and it is clear that it will be someone more threatening than we think. The first signs seem to point to Darth Plagueis, who was the master of Palpatine and considered the most powerful Sith in history. However, we still know too little about him to clarify it.
Others point even further and say that the mask belongs to Darth Tenebrous, Darth Plagueis’ master, of whom we know even less. If this were the case, it could be even more interesting, as the series would have much more freedom to tell his exploits and extend over several seasons… as it seems to be the initial plan. Either way, we are now on board this ship and counting down the hours until it premieres on Disney Plus.
