Here’s your Friday dose of this week’s top news in the world of software.
Photoshop becomes rental-only. You can no longer buy a Photoshop license and instead will have to subscribe the service on a monthly basis. The same for Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Premiere and the other programs in Creative Suite as Abode opts for Creative Cloud.
Saints Row 4 has new trailer. The roguish game has gone into competition with GTA 5’s 3 new trailers, released by Rockstar last week. Right now, we like the Saints Row video much better.
Windows 8. New ads? Some fun new Windows 8 ads have leaked onto the net. Windows 8 is far from conquering the market, but we have to admit that these ads are funny.
Spotify’s been hacked. For several days a Chrome extension allowed downloads of any Spotify song in MP3 format. The hacker responsible assures that his intention was to show up security issues. Google’s removed the extension and Spotify has corrected the breach.
