This is the only Tesla that you can buy: it costs less than 2,000 euros
The Tesla Kids Cyberquad, valued at $1,900, is once again available for purchase on the Tesla web store.
After being withdrawn from the market last year due to not meeting product safety standards, the Tesla Cyberquad for kids, priced at $1,900, is once again available for purchase on Tesla’s web store in the United States and other countries.
The latest update of the toy inspired by the Cybertruck, identified as Model 915, is an upgraded version of the Model 914 Cyberquad for Kids that was released in December 2021. Orders for Model 915 are expected to start shipping by late November.
Tesla has had to modify its quad
Similar to the Model 914, the new Model 915 Cyberquad for Kids was created in collaboration between Tesla and the popular children’s toy manufacturer Radio Flyer, best known as the maker of the Little Red Wagon.
The battery-powered Cyberquad for kids features a 500W motor with a maximum speed of 16 km/h (which parents can adjust to 8 km/h) and a maximum range of 24 km. It includes front and rear LED lights.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recalled the original 914 model in October 2022 after determining that it was better classified as a youth ATV rather than a ride-on toy.
Now, in addition to a modified rear suspension, changes have been implemented to ensure the product complies with both CPSC regulations and ASTM F963 toy safety standards. This includes a slightly higher age rating, from 9 to 12 years old (compared to the 8 to 12 years advised for Europe).
There’s a tire inflation warning label on the left front fender and another clear warning label stating that the product is not a youth ATV and is “not for off-road use”… despite the company’s promotional photos.
