This popular Korean MMORPG finally has a release date in the West

Although we focus especially on what happens within our borders, for obvious reasons, there are enormous phenomena that never leave their countries of origin. And there are markets, such as the Korean and Chinese, that besides being enormous, have significant productions and particular trends of their own. This is something that will become noticeable soon when we receive one of the most important MMORPGs from South Korea in recent years.
In 2021, the company NPIXEL released Gran Saga, an MMORPG that became a resounding success. Not only one of the most popular games of its kind in all of Asia, but one of the most played in general. With a great emphasis on its characters and narrative development, it stands out for being a mobile game with high-quality 3DCG anime-style graphics. And now we can enjoy it in the West.
As announced, Gran Saga will arrive in the West on October 30th worldwide. This is not something that catches us by surprise because, in fact, the studio had already announced its intention to release it globally. That was in 2023, when they said their intention was to expand beyond Asia, but we hadn’t heard anything else about it. Until now, finally, they have given us a concrete release date. Not making us wait even a month for it.
The game takes place in a world shaped by a great war between the black dragon Ismael and the Splendid Knights. Although the latter emerged victorious, it was not without great losses. Something that is noticeable even centuries later when the player, a young knight, meets a mysterious young woman who initiates the adventure of Gran Saga.
With a planned launch for Android and iPhone devices, the pre-registration pages on the App Store and Google Play have not yet been opened. What has been opened is a Twitter page to keep the interested public informed about when this will happen, as well as all possible information and updates regarding the game. Therefore, if you are interested in diving into one of the major Asian market releases of recent years, you should not miss Gran Saga when it comes out on October 30.
