We have had some very fun days around PlayStation 5, as, on one hand, the new PS5 Pro was announced with a slew of negative reviews regarding its price -with all the logic in the world-; however, on the other hand, Sony announced a beautiful edition of the PS5 commemorating the 30th anniversary of the PlayStation brand that has captivated everyone. One step forward, one step back.
One of the main aspects we were missing about this edition was its price. Thanks to the well-known insider Billbil-kun, we have obtained new details about it, with a price already set for the PS5 Slim Digital model: $499.99.
Considering the reliability of this insider – who is already known for being accurate 99.9% of the time – this will be the console’s price in its digital version. As can be seen, the value is slightly above the standard model already in stores, so it is not too outrageous. However, it is noted that in Europe, the price might rise to 519.99 euros, where the difference is indeed greater.
On the other hand, it has also given a price for the DualSense 30th Anniversary Edition that will be sold in stores: $79.99. Once again, it is slightly higher than the base price, but this is common for this type of edition. As for the PS5 Pro and PlayStation Portal editions, there is no information available at the moment, although it is estimated that they will be around 1,000 and 250 euros, respectively.
Pre-orders for this special edition of the PS5 begin this coming September 26, while the release date is set for November 21.
