The original MONA M03 debuted in July 2024 in three versions, priced between RMB 119,800 ($16,815) and RMB 155,800 ($21,870). The M03 quickly became the top-selling A-segment battery electric vehicle (BEV) sedan in China, a title it held for eight consecutive months, thanks to affordable pricing and appealing features.
As of March 2025, XPeng reported it produced 100,000 units of the MONA in just seven months, setting a new production record for passenger BEVs.
The MONA M03 Max expands on this success with more than 50 customizable color combinations, offering three new exterior colors and three interior options, coupled with two new wheel styles.
Inside, the vehicle boasts comfortable front seats with advanced lumbar support, a large panoramic skylight, and a cutting-edge Turing AI-assisted driving system, making it a strong contender in the competitive electric vehicle market.
Showroom models of the MONA M03 Max are expected to arrive on May 21, with detailed pricing and delivery timelines to be revealed later this month. The new model promises not only enhanced aesthetics and comfort but also greater battery efficiency, maintaining XPeng’s commitment to delivering affordable yet high-quality electric transportation options to tech-savvy consumers.
