Max is gaining more strength than ever. Now that there is only one month left before the name of HBO is forever removed from its title worldwide, the streaming platform makes it clear that its future is going to be astonishing. Just a few days ago, it boasted with the trailer for the second season of “House of the Dragon,” and now it has done the same with two other spin-offs it has in its possession.
The first of them is “The Penguin.” The spin-off series from “The Batman” is one of Max’s strongest bets to make it clear that it’s a platform that will prioritize quality. The other one is “Welcome to Derry,” a prequel to “It” that takes us back to the protagonists’ town to narrate how everything was before Pennywise arrived… or, more accurately, when Pennywise arrived.
New series for every taste
Here’s the summary trailer recently released by Max. In it, we get a much better look at “The Penguin.” Starring Colin Farrell in an unrecognizable appearance, he dives back into the role of Batman’s adversary to explain his rise in Gotham as the mafia figure we all know from the comics and previous movies and series.
In the summary, we not only see this series or “Welcome to Derry,” the mentioned “It” spin-off, but we also get a glimpse of other shows coming to Max: “Pretty Little Liars: Summer School,” “Tokyo Vice,” “Hacks,” and the new seasons of “The White Lotus” or “Euphoria.” Undoubtedly, the series coming to the streaming platform are worthy competitors to Netflix, Disney Plus, or Apple TV+. We don’t know if Max will surpass them all, but one thing’s for sure, it won’t lack quality.
