Microsoft is preparing more usability improvements for Windows 11. The Photos application, which is used to view images stored on the PC, will receive a major update that is currently being tested by insiders who regularly test new features before they are released to the general public.
This is a novelty that, although perhaps not very expected by casual users, will offer superior features compared to the Photos application we know today. Not many details are known yet, but it is known that the changes will be numerous and extensive, and will require the corresponding feedback from the testers.
As Microsoft has officially announced, the new version of Photos, the internal application of Windows 11 for viewing audiovisual content such as photographs and images of different formats, is now available in canary versions for insiders to test first-hand the extensive innovations that come with this update of one of the basic services of any PC.
By implementing many changes, Microsoft admits that it intends to continue refining the interface to make the user experience as optimal as possible before reaching the mass audience. Therefore, the insiders, who are usually specialized users in providing useful feedback to the developers, will have the task of collaborating so that the Photos update is as polished as possible when it is released in its final version.
The future of Windows 11
Windows 11 is going through a strong transition in 2024, although the biggest change it will make is with the arrival of version 24H2 of Windows 11, which promises to be the most ambitious update of Windows 11 since its official launch. And it is that, with a performance lower than desired, Microsoft wants to encourage more users to make the leap to Windows 11 to abandon Windows 10 as soon as possible.
In fact, until the beginning of this 2024, rumors about the possible arrival of Windows 12 were constant during the previous year. It was even speculated that this upcoming update, 24H2, could actually be the release of Windows 12, but little by little, with the leaks from the trial versions, it became evident that Microsoft will continue betting on Windows 11 as the flagship operating system of the company on computer devices.
