Star Wars: Zero Company gets a release date: August 27, 2026

EA has locked in August 27, 2026 as the release date for Star Wars: Zero Company. It’s a turn-based squad tactics game headed to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, set in the final stretch of the Clone Wars.

The game first showed up at Star Wars Celebration Japan in April 2025. It got a much larger showcase later at Summer Game Fest 2026.

That second look filled in a lot of the blanks around this official Star Wars canon project from Bit Reactor, Respawn Entertainment, and EA. This one isn’t chasing lightsaber spectacle. It’s built around strategy.

EA’s latest trailer frames you as Hawks, a customizable former Republic officer, leading the squad through Geonosis, Felucia, and Umbara. The story looks grittier and more ground-level, closer in tone to The Clone Wars, Rogue One, and Andor. The trailer also slips in a tease for Anakin Skywalker.

The store pages are already live, and so are pre-orders. Pricing starts at $49.99 on PC and $59.99 on consoles, with a deluxe edition available for anyone who wants the extra cosmetics.

If you’ve wanted a Star Wars take on XCOM, this could be it. Bit Reactor includes developers who previously worked at Firaxis, and you can see that in the emphasis on action points, positioning, and character abilities.

EA also says Star Wars: Zero Company mixes in third-person exploration, branching choices, squad relationships, optional permadeath, and an Overwatch system with an adjustable cone. One other change stands out: there’s no fog of war, which should make each battle easier to read at a glance.

You can pre-order Star Wars: Zero Company right now on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
