Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves just confirmed Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star for its Season 2 DLC, due in June 2026. Players will also be able to get their hands on him at EVO 2026. That gives City of the Wolves one of the reboot’s biggest crossover additions so far, and puts him front and center after earlier Season 2 reveals like Blue Mary and Wolfgang Krauser.
If you play Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves a lot, this already feels like a pretty easy buy when it drops. Kenshiro’s Hokuto Shinken style and those famously savage finishers sound like they should fit the REV system really well. SNK still has to make sure all that power doesn’t turn into a tournament balance problem, though.
It also makes sense for Fatal Fury specifically, especially for a series that only recently returned after a 26-year break between mainline games.
The timing seems to line up with the new Fist of the North Star anime project. Meanwhile, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves keeps picking up Steam with strong reviews, a Very Positive recent rating on Steam, an estimated 118,000 Steam sales, retail sales in Japan reported at just under 9,000 units in two weeks, and solid player bases in the US, Mexico, and Brazil.
Kenshiro hits Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves as Season 2 DLC in June 2026, and if you don’t want to wait that long, you’ll be able to try him early at EVO 2026.
