Marvel showed off a new Avengers: Doomsday costume at Comic-Con 2026, and fans immediately zeroed in on one detail: the “Latverian Witch” label. That name alone is already fueling speculation about who this character could be.
The green hood, metallic armor accents, and silver mask all tie the look closely to Doctor Doom and Latveria. And since “Latverian Witch” doesn’t line up with an obvious comics counterpart the way Scarlet Witch or Clea does, the label could point to a magical lieutenant, a court sorceress, or even a larger Doom-linked group, especially with reports of yellow and purple variants making the rounds.
The big theories right now are a Wanda Maximoff variant, Cynthia von Doom, Clea, or Agatha Harkness. If you’re following the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s next crossover, this is one to watch, because Marvel still hasn’t said who the character actually is. It also suggests that Doctor Doom’s power may draw from magic alongside science, armor, and politics when he goes up against the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, and the X-Men.
Avengers: Doomsday is set to arrive in theaters on December 18, 2026, with Robert Downey Jr. playing Doctor Doom.
