Rittenhouse Archives has revealed A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms Season 1 trading cards, tied to HBO’s Game of Thrones prequel, with a Winter 2026 release window.
The full breakdown hasn’t been shared yet, but HBO set collectors can make a pretty solid guess. It’ll probably follow the House of the Dragon Series 2 formula: base cards, autograph cards, hand-drawn sketch cards, and scarcer chase inserts, all handled with the same premium bent that previously brought in more than 30 cast and crew signers.
If you’ve been keeping up with A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, HBO’s six-episode prequel, since it premiered on January 18, 2026, this one looks like a set to keep an eye on. George R.R. Martin and Ira Parker adapted Tales of Dunk and Egg, with Peter Claffey playing Ser Duncan the Tall and Dexter Sol Ansell as Egg. The show has landed a 94% Rotten Tomatoes score, according to Rotten Tomatoes, along with an 8.6/10 on IMDb, and it’s caught on fast for a simple reason: the story runs on smaller-scale adventure, not the dynastic war machine that drove Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon.
The cards are slated for Winter 2026. Meanwhile, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms Season 2 was already renewed in November 2025 and reportedly finished production for a 2027 return. That next stretch will likely pull from The Sworn Sword and may even move past the published novellas with added Dunk and Egg material, though for now, three seasons still feels like the safest expectation.
