Lionsgate Television has confirmed that it is developing a new television series set in the John Wick universe. Titled John Wick: Under the High Table, the series will continue right after the events of John Wick: Chapter 4. Although there is no streaming platform involved yet, it will likely end up on Amazon Prime Video, where the spin-off The Continental has already aired.
As the official synopsis of the new series states, “John Wick has left the world of the High Table in a tenous position and a collection of new characters will look to make a name for themselves while some of the franchise’s stalwart characters remain committed to the old-world order. The series will combine the new and the old and take the Wick universe into a new age.”

What happened to La Alta Mesa?
Although it is not clear whether John Wick will appear in the series, Keanu Reeves will be executive producer along with Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee from Thunder Road. Chad Stahelski, director of the movies, will also be executive producer through 87Eleven Entertainment and will direct the pilot episode, so the action is guaranteed. Robert Levine, from Black Sails, will be the main writer and showrunner.
The series depends 100% on Lionsgate TV finding a network or platform that wants to air it, but considering the success of the saga and its previous spin-off, The Continental: From the World of John Wick, it is clear that it will soon succeed. Additionally, it is not the only thing being developed from the franchise.

Currently, the production of John Wick 5 is underway, which will pick up the character right where the wonderful fourth installment left off; there is also the spin-off John Wick Presents: Ballerina in the works, a film starring Ana de Armas that will be released in theaters in 2025.
