Apple TV+ is synonymous with quality, or at least with high-quality productions, and Severance is one of the best examples of this. Beyond the wildest science fiction series in its catalog, Severance stands out as one of the platform’s crown jewels. And, as it couldn’t be otherwise, it will have a season 2 soon.
But what can we expect from the second season of Severance? Those of us who have seen it know that in the first season they already did practically everything, but apparently it’s only less than half of what we can see in the future. Or, at least, that’s how the protagonist Adam Scott has defined it, speaking to Deadline at the premiere of Madame Web, confirming that we are facing a series that only continues to grow in ideas.
A crazy series if there ever was one
“It’s a very funny series. I can’t wait for everyone to see what’s prepared. It really bothers me to have to keep the secret. But yes, it’s great, and I’m looking forward to everyone seeing all the crazy things that will happen,” said the protagonist.
The majority of the season 1 cast is expected to return for its highly anticipated second season. Scott will once again lead the cast as Mark Scout, while others such as John Tutturo, Britt Lower, and Patricia Arquette will reprise their roles as Irving, Helly, and Harmony respectively. It has also been reported that new members will join the aforementioned names for season 2. The new cast includes Gwendoline Christie, John Noble, Bob Balaban, Merrit Wever, Robby Benson, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, Alia Shawkat, and Stefano Carannante.
We still don’t have a release date for Season 2 of Severance, but it is expected to be sometime in late this year. We’ll see if Apple TV+ does it again, although everything seems to indicate that they are already on their way.
