Do you remember Ted, the foul-mouthed and horny teddy bear who had two movies between 2012 and 2015? Well, it turns out that they recently released a live-action series of the teddy bear, premiered in 2024 on the Peacock platform, in an attempt to recapture the character’s spirit. However, the reviews were not as good as expected, and it was on the verge of being canceled due to the cost of 8 million dollars per episode.
However, from Peacock, they want to continue exploring ways to exploit this character —which, honestly, nobody really misses— and now they have confirmed that they are developing an animated series of the character. Not much more details about the production are known yet, but it is expected to reach new audiences and regain the fame of the most badass bear in cinema.

A new opportunity for Ted
In the latest series of Ted, it tells the story of John, a sixteen-year-old who lives with his teddy bear Ted and his family in Massachusetts. And although Ted may not be the best influence on John, he is a loyal friend who is always there for his best friend. With seven episodes, the series aimed to bring Ted back into the spotlight, although it seems they didn’t quite achieve it.
