Apple has just revealed its plans for Wolfs, the action comedy starring Brad Pitt and George Clooney, directed by Jon Watts, known for the Spider-Man trilogy of the MCU and for Skeleton Crew. The film will premiere at the Venice Film Festival, which will take place from August 28 to September 7, and will have a limited release in theaters on September 20, before being available on Apple TV+ on September 27. But this isn’t the only information we have received about the film.
According to Apple’s original films director, Matt Dentler, they are already working on a sequel to Wolfs. It will depend on the potential success of the first one, but they hope to continue exploring the wonderful chemistry between Pitt and Clooney, protagonists who have known each other on screen since Ocean’s Eleven.
A movie that will captivate the general audience
“Wolfs is the type of blockbuster movie that makes Apple TV+ an exceptional home for the best of entertainment,” Dentler comments in Deadline. “With the remarkable and captivating chemistry of George and Brad under the extraordinary direction of Jon Watts, Wolfs combines all the great elements of comedy, action, and drama into an extremely entertaining movie that will leave the audience ready for what’s next. Releasing the movie in theaters before making it available to the public offers the best of both worlds to the audience, and we are excited to see fans embrace the movie as we begin working with Jon on the sequel.”

The sequel is also planned to be directed, written, and produced by Jon Watts, and obviously with Pitt and Clooney in the main cast. The film is one of the biggest bets of the Apple TV+ season, along with others like Alfonso Cuarón’s series Disclaimer, and it makes it clear that the platform aims to be a benchmark in every way.
