McDonald’s has locked in its November 2026 Pokémon Happy Meal promotion, and this one brings back something fans haven’t had together in years: trading cards and actual physical toys in the same release. Each Happy Meal comes in a yellow box shaped around Pikachu’s head and includes two random Pokémon cards plus one collectible toy. The card set is expected to run to 15 cards, with reprints like Pikachu, Eevee, Snorlax, and Jirachi, all carrying McDonald’s branding and holofoil treatment. The toy side looks a lot closer to older promotions too, with proper 3D plastic toys returning through a line of 15 miniature Happy Meal boxes styled after Pokémon such as Pikachu, Squirtle, Charmander, and Bulbasaur.

The first batch of the McDonald’s Pokémon Happy Meal promotion is set for November 2026 in the US, Canada, Australia, France, New Zealand, Spain, and Fiji. More regions are scheduled for December. Parts of Latin America and Asia are expected to follow in January 2027, with the UK and Ireland getting it in February 2027.

If you collect Pokémon cards, or just end up buying Happy Meals on a regular basis, this promo is probably one to grab. Still, there are a few catches worth keeping in mind: the two-card pack is smaller than the older four-card promo packs, and some fans are already bracing for the usual problems, including scalping, shortages, bulk buying by resellers, and plain old waste. That concern is there even though McDonald’s has been running Pokémon promotions since 2011, and some markets have had toy-only versions in the past.

Sony has refreshed the PlayStation Plus Monthly Games lineup for November 2026, and this month’s batch brings Dead Island 2, Monster Train 2, and Tomb Raider IV-V-VI Remastered.

Dead Island 2 is the big one here for PS5 and PS4. It throws players into a gore-drenched Los Angeles for melee-first zombie combat, side quests, and optional three-player co-op. It also had a previous run in the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog in 2024 before dropping out earlier in 2026, so subscribers now get another chance to add Dead Island 2 to their library.

Monster Train 2 is the PS5-only entry. It builds on the first game’s deckbuilding roguelite setup with angel-and-demon clan alliances, battles spread across three vertical lanes, and five new clans. Then there’s Tomb Raider IV-V-VI Remastered on PS5 and PS4, which packages Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation, Tomb Raider: Chronicles, and Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness, along with instant switching between the original visuals and the remastered look.

If you’re after a little range, this is a pretty easy month to claim, especially with Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2 set to leave the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium Game Catalog in November. Sony is also still trying to keep momentum behind PlayStation Plus after the May price increase for new subscribers; the company said the service had 47 million subscribers.

Sony says all three games will be available to claim through PlayStation Plus from November 3 to November 30. October’s Monthly Games stay claimable until November 2.

Rockstar Games has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto 6 will have a much longer day-night cycle than Grand Theft Auto 5, giving players more time to take in the sunrise, the sunset, and everything in between.

Rockstar North co-studio head Rob Nelson said the team tested GTA 5’s 48-minute day in GTA 6, but it didn’t hold up. With the sequel’s bigger world and higher level of detail, “everything felt too fast,” so that quicker clock no longer matched the map’s density, pacing, atmosphere, or sheer amount of detail.

Fans had already been trying to figure it out, and many landed on a full day lasting around 2 hours and 24 minutes. That would mean one in-game minute takes about six real seconds instead of the roughly two seconds it takes in Grand Theft Auto 5, putting the whole cycle at about three times longer.

That slower clock also fits Rockstar’s wider push toward realism. Reports have pointed to narrower roads, weather shaped by wind, humidity, and time of day, public transport you can actually use, NPCs that react more naturally, better AI, and deeper vehicle interactions.

If you want Grand Theft Auto 6 to feel more immersive, this part matters. Nelson also says Rockstar Games will still ignore realism when it gets in the way of good gameplay.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is still on the way, so for now, all you can really do is keep up with Rockstar Games’ official updates.

Right now, CD Projekt Red hasn’t announced or confirmed any Cyberpunk 2077 update connected to “Edgerunners 2” or to a version 2.5 supposedly tied to a Nintendo Switch 2 release.

One viral report says Cyberpunk 2077 would get mod support, dual-wielding pistols, and other Cyberpunk: Edgerunners-themed additions. The same report also talks about crashes, loading problems, performance drops, and even save-file or profile issues. But without confirmation from CD Projekt Red or Nintendo, all of that is still speculation.

What CD Projekt Red has confirmed is a lot simpler. The last verified Cyberpunk: Edgerunners-related update was 1.6 in September 2022, and the biggest overhaul after that was 2.0, released alongside Phantom Liberty in September 2023.

Phantom Liberty also remains the only planned expansion CD Projekt Red has announced. Project Orion is still in early development. There isn’t any official fix announcement, because there isn’t any official update announcement to begin with. And there’s still no officially announced second season of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.

If you see this rumor going around, treat it carefully, not as proof that a broken launch really happened.

For now, the only versions you can download are the officially announced releases of Cyberpunk 2077 on current platforms, not on any confirmed Nintendo Switch 2 release.

According to leaks, Fortnite Treasure Hunters is supposed to go live today, November 1. If that timing holds, players can expect a pirate-themed island refresh and, reportedly, a One Piece crossover right after Fortnite’s Fortnitemares event wraps on October 31.

Epic Games still hasn’t given an exact start time. Going by Fortnite’s usual maintenance schedule, downtime will probably start around 3:00 a.m. CT, with servers coming back around 6:00 a.m. CT. Then again, bigger themed updates have a habit of running long.

Leaks suggest this won’t be a full new season. It looks more like a mini-season meant to bridge Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 and Chapter 8. The reported additions are pretty loaded: a skull-shaped map, pirate-focused locations like Arlong Park and Foosha Village, One Piece skins for Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Sanji, Ace, and Buggy, and the Going Merry taking over as the Battle Bus.

There’s more. The same leaks mention a Pirate Crew system, a blunderbuss-style shotgun, an old-era assault rifle, and Mythics tied to Luffy’s Gum-Gum powers and Usopp’s slingshot.

If you play Fortnite regularly, this one looks worth downloading for the island overhaul alone, even with Epic Games still sorting out the final details.

Once the servers are back online, you should be able to get the Fortnite Treasure Hunters update through the standard Fortnite update on supported platforms.

Minecraft: Bedrock Edition got an update today, October 27, 2026. It’s version 26.60, and it packs in more than 600 bug fixes, experimental features pulled from the Fourth Drop of the 2026 content update, and native support for Nintendo Switch 2.

Version 26.60 is, for the most part, a cleanup patch. The focus here is performance, gameplay behavior, stability, and the kind of quality-of-life fixes that tend to matter a lot more when you’ve been living in the same world for a while or spending time on multiplayer servers.

If you switch on Experiments in your world settings, you can also get an early look at some of the new content. That includes Ice Caves under cold biomes, built out of Packed Ice and Calcite, along with Icicles and glowing Ice Crystals. There’s also the Frostbite, a hostile zombie variant that can freeze players with melee hits and throw Ice Balls from a distance.

If you play Minecraft: Bedrock Edition regularly, 26.60 is an easy update to recommend. Early reactions to the Ice Cave atmosphere have been pretty upbeat, even if there are still open questions about how Frostbite will feel in multiplayer and on higher difficulties.

S-Game says Phantom Blade Zero goes live worldwide on PlayStation 5 and PC at 10:00 AM Beijing Time on October 29, though players in the Americas get in a little earlier on October 28. The unlock times break down to 7:00 PM PDT or 10:00 PM EDT on October 28, then 2:00 AM GMT, 3:00 AM CET, 1:00 PM AEDT, and 3:00 PM NZDT on October 29. If you pre-ordered, you can already pre-load it. That opened on October 26 , or October 27 in Beijing.

Built in Unreal Engine 5, S-Game’s single-player action RPG blends wuxia and Steampunk into what it calls a “kungfupunk” world. You play as Soul, a framed assassin brought back to life with 66 days left to clear his name, across a campaign that runs about 30 to 40 hours.

Storage is hefty. Based on the PC requirements and PlayStation 5 listings, Phantom Blade Zero takes about 145 to 150GB on PC and 130GB on PS5, and PC players may need as much as 300GB of free space. The PS5 physical edition, meanwhile, has slipped to 2027.

If you’re here for fast combat, a good spread of weapons, big boss fights, and flashy visuals, this one has a lot going for it. Early reviews have also pointed to a convoluted story and some technical problems. S-Game says the game had reached 3 million wishlists by September 2026, and it’ll be available on PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store. Donnie Yen is attached as a creative consultant and also appears as an in-game character.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Resynced, the remake of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, got updated today to version 1.0.8. The 1.0.8 patch notes say this is the final major content update, and it adds New Game+.

New Game+ doesn’t work the way it did in the 2013 original. In this remake, you can start over while keeping most of your progress intact: Edward’s gear, Jackdaw upgrades, money, outfits, hideout progress, Kenway fleet ships, codex items, treasure maps, and store purchases all carry over. Some things still reset. You’ll have to recruit officers again, recapture forts once the fog comes back, and you lose New Game+-only items and currency. Each run gets harder too, with more elite enemies and more max-rank ships, and that difficulty stacks up to five times. There’s also a separate currency, earned through challenges and old chests, that you can spend on new outfits and items.

Patch 1.0.8 adds a standalone Nightmare mode as well. You can apply it to the entire game or just to combat, stealth, or ship battles. It bumps enemy damage to 1.8x, tightens parry timing, removes the warning glint, increases ranged fire, gets rid of one-shot protection, makes detection and hearing less forgiving, extends investigations, and adds a new 6-meter rooftop stealth rule.

If you want a tougher second voyage, this is an update worth downloading.

Auroch Digital, the Bristol studio behind Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, said in posts on LinkedIn and X dated October 26, 2026, that it has started a redundancy consultation process. Around a quarter of the studio could be affected.

In those LinkedIn and X posts, later deleted without any explanation, Auroch said that recent “creative success” hadn’t shielded the studio from the market pressure pushing so many game companies into restructuring.

The timing is hard to miss if you’ve been watching the studio. The possible cuts surfaced two weeks after Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2, just ahead of Warhammer Survivors launching on November 10, and Auroch says development and post-launch support for both games should still go ahead.

Its recent run makes the situation even more striking. The first Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun landed well, Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 has opened to positive player feedback and an Overwhelmingly Positive rating on Steam, Starship Troopers: Ultimate Bug War drew a more mixed response, and Auroch Digital was acquired less than a year ago by Roundtable Interactive in a deal backed by EMK Capital.

For now, the place to watch is Auroch Digital’s LinkedIn and X accounts. The deleted notice is now part of the broader wave of games layoffs in 2026.
