Far Cry 3 and Blood Dragon are coming to Nintendo Switch 2: Ubisoft sets Spring 2027 release window

Far Cry 3 and Blood Dragon are coming to Nintendo Switch 2: Ubisoft sets Spring 2027 release window

Ubisoft has confirmed that Far Cry 3 Classic Edition and Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon are coming to Nintendo Switch 2, with both set for Spring 2027.

Far Cry 3
Far Cry 3 Download

That’s another solid third-party get for Nintendo Switch 2, and it keeps one of Ubisoft’s biggest series in circulation on yet another platform. Ubisoft still hasn’t said much beyond the announcement, though. There’s no word yet on technical specs, pricing, bundle options, physical releases, or Switch 2-specific extras such as touchscreen support, gyro aiming, or any exclusive upgrades.

Far Cry 3 still has weight because the 2012 original helped lock in Ubisoft’s modern open-world playbook. It dropped players onto the pirate-run Rook Islands and built its identity around exploration, outpost captures, crafting, and combat that could turn messy fast. Then came 2013’s standalone Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, which went in a completely different direction and ended up a fan favorite thanks to its neon retro-futurist style, sci-fi nonsense, and full-on 1980s action-movie spoofing.

These aren’t brand-new editions, either. Ubisoft already put out Far Cry 3 Classic Edition on PS4 and Xbox One back in 2018, and Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon returned in remastered form in 2021 through the Far Cry 6 season pass. So this lands less like a major revival and more like a meaningful back-catalog drop on a platform that has barely seen modern Far Cry releases.

If you’ve been waiting for Ubisoft shooters on a portable system, this is one to watch. Both games are scheduled to hit Nintendo Switch 2 in Spring 2027.

Primetime premieres in Venice: Rotten Tomatoes tops 90%

Primetime premieres in Venice: Rotten Tomatoes tops 90%

Primetime, Robert Pattinson’s new film, just premiered at the Venice Film Festival ahead of its September 25, 2026 theatrical release, and it’s already pushed him right into the Oscar conversation. Early reviews have the film sitting in the low-to-mid 90s on Rotten Tomatoes, and the first wave out of Venice has been especially strong on Pattinson.

IMDb Movies & TV
IMDb Movies & TV Download

A lot of those reviews point to him as the movie’s main draw. Critics have zeroed in on his fictionalized, Chris Hansen-inspired TV host, calling it one of the best performances of his career and a real Best Actor contender, the kind that could finally get him his first Oscar nomination.

That matters even more because Primetime is the film putting Pattinson front and center this year. In The Odyssey, he’s part of a packed ensemble. Here, the spotlight is on him, in a year that also includes The Drama and his continuing attachment to Dune: Part Three.

Directed by Lance Oppenheim in his first narrative feature, with Pattinson also on board as a producer, Primetime loosely pulls from NBC’s To Catch a Predator and the Esquire article Tonight on Dateline This Man Will Die. The result is a dark crime thriller and media satire about entertainment, justice, exploitation, and broadcast journalism. Reviewers have described it as dark, surreal, unsettling, and sharply funny, especially in the way it looks at how television turns human misery into a product.

If you keep up with Pattinson, or just pay attention to awards season, this looks like one to see in a theater. Primetime opens on September 25, 2026.

Persona 4 Revival is official on Switch 2: Persona 6 teased too

Persona 4 Revival is official on Switch 2: Persona 6 teased too

Atlus confirmed today that Persona 4 Revival, a full remake of the 2008 RPG Persona 4, is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on May 20, 2027. This isn’t just a remaster with cleaned-up assets. Atlus is reworking the visuals, adding quality-of-life updates drawn from newer Persona games, and, if the current reports are right, keeping the expanded content from Persona 4 Golden.

If you’re new to Persona 4, you’re going to Inaba for a murder mystery built around the Midnight Channel, Shadow battles, social sim systems, dungeon crawling, and a cast that’s still one of the most loved in the series.

Atlus also confirmed Persona 6 for Nintendo Switch 2, though there’s no release date yet. Right now, the publisher has only said that it will tell a new standalone story with a new cast. As for the same-day leak claims about Yokohama, “Hex,” social stats, part-time jobs, and romance options, take them carefully because Atlus hasn’t commented on any of that.

If you play Persona on Nintendo systems, Atlus’s Switch 2 support is something to watch. The company said in July 2026 that the series had passed 30 million copies sold, and Persona 4 Revival will reach Switch 2 after the PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC versions launch on February 18, 2027.

Kirby and The World Beyond is official: a new 3D adventure for Switch 2

Kirby and The World Beyond is official: a new 3D adventure for Switch 2

Nintendo used its September 9, 2026 Nintendo Direct to unveil Kirby and The World Beyond, a new action-adventure for Nintendo Switch 2 starring everyone’s favorite pink vacuum. It’s a fully 3D game, and Nintendo says it’s set to arrive in Spring 2027.

The trailer fills in a little more than the announcement alone. Kirby gets pulled into a world beyond his own, King DeDeDe seems to be the one who helps kick the whole thing off, and Kirby isn’t traveling alone this time. He’s joined by a companion Nintendo still hasn’t identified.

From what Nintendo showed, this is a much bigger follow-up to Kirby and the Forgotten Land. The areas look wider and more layered, exploration seems a lot looser, and enough of it has that open-world feel that viewers were already calling it open-world-style before the Direct was even over. Copy abilities also look beefed up. One shot shows Kirby swinging an oversized sword that slices through enemies and even parts of the environment, opening hidden paths as he goes. In another quick moment, his silhouette looks a whole lot like Link from The Legend of Zelda, though Nintendo hasn’t said anything about a Zelda crossover.

If you were waiting for a bigger swing from the series before Kirby’s 35th anniversary rolls around in 2027, this looks like it might be it.

You can’t download Kirby and The World Beyond yet, but Nintendo has locked in a Spring 2027 release for Nintendo Switch 2.

Resident Evil 2, 3 and 4 remakes hit Switch 2 this October: native ports, not cloud versions

Resident Evil 2, 3 and 4 remakes hit Switch 2 this October: native ports, not cloud versions

Capcom has locked in a 16 October release date for three Resident Evil games on Nintendo Switch 2: 16 October: Resident Evil 2 Deluxe Edition, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition, all as digital releases. The part Nintendo players will care about most is simple: these are native ports, not cloud versions like Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 were on the original Switch. It also marks the first time the modern Resident Evil 4 remake will be playable on Nintendo hardware.

These aren’t bare-bones releases, either. Resident Evil 2 Deluxe Edition comes with previously released DLC, and Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition Ada Wong’s Separate Ways. Capcom says physical editions are currently slated for 29 January 2027. If you’ve been holding off in the hope of playing these remakes locally on a Nintendo console, this is the update you’ve been waiting for, especially since Capcom’s remake run keeps delivering: Resident Evil 4 remake has reportedly 16.8 million copies and around $560 million, and the RE Engine looks like a strong fit for Nintendo Switch 2’s push to bring in more third-party games.

All three will be available to download from the Nintendo Switch 2 eShop on 16 October.

Nintendo reveals Young Link amiibo: GameStop leak gains credibility

Nintendo reveals Young Link amiibo: GameStop leak gains credibility

Nintendo just confirmed a Young Link amiibo for 2027, and that gives the reported GameStop database leak about upcoming amiibo a lot more weight.

Earlier reports said GameStop’s internal system had added more than 20 new amiibo placeholders for 2026 and 2027, with prices ranging from $25 to $60. Only a few names were visible, and two of them were Young Link and Mineru Construct. Now we know at least one of those entries was real, because Nintendo has revealed Young Link and Young Zelda amiibo for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on Switch 2. Both are scheduled for 2027.

Nintendo says these figures are part of its Zelda 40th anniversary rollout. That same lineup includes the Ocarina of Time remake, launching on November 5, 2026, plus a Zelda-themed Switch 2, a matching Pro Controller, a Link and Epona Lego set, and concert-related content. In the game, tapping the new amiibo unlocks Link masks based on the original Nintendo 64 look.

Those earlier GameStop leak reports also listed Mineru’s Construct for September 17, 2026. If you collect amiibo, this is probably one to watch, even if Nintendo and GameStop still haven’t confirmed the full list.

Blood of Dawnwalker sequel enters early development: Rebel Wolves hires lead writer

Blood of Dawnwalker sequel enters early development: Rebel Wolves hires lead writer

Rebel Wolves is already lining up a follow-up to The Blood of Dawnwalker. The studio has put a sequel into early development and is starting to map out the next chapter of protagonist Coen’s story.

Steam
Steam Download

The biggest clue is a Lead Writer job opening at Rebel Wolves. Narrative Director Jakub Szamałek also said the team is “already thinking about what comes next,” which makes this sound like more than loose post-launch talk. There’s still no title and no trailer, but the sequel has clearly made it onto the studio’s active roadmap.

That comes after a strong debut. The Blood of Dawnwalker launched on September 3, 2026 and, according to Rebel Wolves, sold more than 1 million copies in three days. On PC, SteamDB lists a peak of 78,188 concurrent players. It also has a Very Positive user rating on Steam, along with review scores of 84 on Metacritic and 85 on OpenCritic, according to those platforms.

If you liked the first game, this is something to keep an eye on. The Blood of Dawnwalker’s modern-day ending tease leaves room for a big time jump, a wider use of Dawnwalker mythology, and player-choice carryover rather than just a direct continuation.

Rebel Wolves says it was founded in 2022 by former CD Projekt RED developers, has grown to around 160 employees, and built its debut RPG in Unreal Engine 5. You can play The Blood of Dawnwalker on PC now. The sequel, for the moment, is still unannounced outside of this hiring push.

Miami Vice is now streaming free on Tubi: all five seasons are available

Miami Vice is now streaming free on Tubi: all five seasons are available

Miami Vice just landed on Tubi, and the whole thing is there to watch for free right now: all five seasons of the NBC crime drama starring Don Johnson and Philip Michael Thomas.

So yes, you’re getting the full NBC run, with Johnson and Thomas as Sonny Crockett and Rico Tubbs, two undercover vice detectives moving through Miami’s criminal underworld. Over the course of the series, they go after drug traffickers, arms dealers, killers, and the corrupt power brokers sitting behind a lot of it.

A big part of why the show still sticks is Michael Mann’s style. The neon, the pastels, the pop songs everywhere, it made Miami Vice one of the defining hits of the 1980s, and the influence on Grand Theft Auto: Vice City isn’t hard to spot. The series also got darker as it went on, digging into corruption, institutional failure, and endings that didn’t tie themselves up neatly. And for network TV, it was a seriously ambitious production, costing about $1.3 million to $2 million per episode, using licensed pop music and stereo sound, and spinning off a soundtrack that stayed at No. 1 for 11 weeks, Jan Hammer’s No. 1 theme and two Grammys, 15 first-year Emmy nominations with four wins, major fashion trends, and a boost to Miami Beach’s Art Deco image. If you’ve ever wanted to see why Miami Vice still means something to gamers and pop culture fans, this is a pretty good excuse.

You can stream Miami Vice for free on Tubi now. Miami Beach marked the show’s 40th anniversary in 2024, and Universal is reportedly developing Miami Vice ’85.

Steam API leak exposes 50+ unreleased games: achievements surface

Steam API leak exposes 50+ unreleased games: achievements surface

Valve’s Steam API seems to have exposed private achievement data for more than 50 unreleased games on September 9, 2026. Third-party trackers Exophase and SteamDB picked it up, and the result was a leak: both sites started surfacing unannounced titles that weren’t supposed to be visible yet.

Steam
Steam Download

Exophase owner Mike Bendel described it as a “screw up on Valve’s end,” not a hack. Scans run through Exophase and SteamDB pulled backend entries, sometimes only as AppIDs, that users then connected to Avengers, Dune, Sonic, Sea of Thieves, Twin Peaks, and The Walking Dead.

The entries that appeared on Exophase and SteamDB also seem to have affected games that had already been announced, including Kingdom Hearts IV, Persona 6, Fable, Gears of War: E-Day, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3, Silent Hill: Townfall, and Squadron 42. Achievement data can give away a lot more than a title card, too: plot beats, locations, mechanics, characters, crossover content, and even Kingdom Hearts worlds nobody had seen before.

If you keep an eye on Steam leaks, this one deserves attention, though some of the names could still be prototypes or working titles. The Avengers connection to a canceled THQ project hasn’t been confirmed, and Balatro creator LocalThunk flatly denied that a supposed sequel or spinoff was real.

Valve hadn’t commented by the time of publication, and most publishers hadn’t either. That leaves some obvious questions hanging, like how long the data was exposed, what changed on the backend, and whether any marketing plans now have to be reworked. Grand Theft Auto 6 didn’t show up, Squadron 42 may be a sign of a Steam release, and the damage here looks tied more to secrecy than to security in the usual sense.

The Legend of Zelda gets its first live-action trailer: Nintendo confirms the movie’s title

The Legend of Zelda gets its first live-action trailer: Nintendo confirms the movie’s title

Nintendo used a Nintendo Direct celebrating the series’ 40th anniversary to unveil the first trailer for its live-action The Legend of Zelda movie. It also confirmed a few big details at once: the film’s title is simply The Legend of Zelda, the story is new rather than lifted from a single game, and it’s pulling from 40 years of Zelda lore. The worldwide theatrical release is set for April 30, 2027.

That plain, subtitle-free title isn’t an accident. Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto said you’ll understand the reason for it once you’ve seen the movie.

So this isn’t Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, or Breath of the Wild retold on screen. Nintendo says it’s telling an original story built out of four decades of Zelda history, and the Triforce will matter a lot.

Bo Bragason is playing Zelda. Benjamin Evan Ainsworth is playing Link. Reported casting also includes Uli Latukefu as Ganon and Dichen Lachman as Impa.

Wes Ball is directing and co-producing alongside Shigeru Miyamoto and producer Avi Arad. That makes this one of Nintendo’s biggest movie swings since The Super Mario Bros. Movie, and a real test of how far the company can go with live-action.

If you’ve been keeping up with The Legend of Zelda or Nintendo’s film plans, the trailer is worth a look, even with reactions still split.

The Legend of Zelda reaches theaters worldwide on April 30, 2027, and Netflix streaming will follow. Filming started in October 2025 and has already wrapped in New Zealand.
