After Blade Runner 2049, the epic Denis Villeneuve film starring Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford, we will be transported fifty years into the future with Blade Runner 2059, a future series on Amazon Prime Video set in this universe and starring the Oscar-winning Michelle Yeoh.
As reported by Collider, the series will arrive sooner than we think. Its filming is already planned for a few months from now, and the chosen locations for filming are in Prague and various locations in Spain. Therefore, it is expected that by the end of next year (2025) we will be able to see the first season on the streaming platform.

A luxury team
Ridley Scott, director of the original film, will serve as producer of Blade Runner 2059. On the other hand, Silka Luisa, known for her work on Shining Girls, will be the showrunner. And Jonathan van Tulleken, who directed the first two episodes of Shogun, will serve as director of the first episodes. Without a doubt, the series looks spectacular.
