Netflix dropped Dead-End Job worldwide on October 30, 2026. The new eight-episode mystery-horror-fantasy series lands on the platform with a story built around debt, supernatural side gigs that can get you killed, and early signs that people are watching in South Korea and abroad.
Lee Jae-wook plays Byeon Hyeok-jun, a young man who signs on for work that pays about 50 times the usual rate, then finds himself dragged into assignments that turn life-threatening fast. Dead-End Job folds workplace horror, fantasy, and dark comedy into something more specific: the stress of unstable work, personal debt, and the class pressure sitting behind all of it.
Han Jun-hee created the series, and Kim Da-min directs. Go Min-si, Kim Min-ha, and Lee Hee-joon round out the supporting cast. People are already comparing Dead-End Job to Squid Game, Parasite, and Severance, and the first reviews have been strong on the pacing, the central idea, and Lee Jae-wook’s performance, even if some critics are less sold on the visual effects and the case-of-the-week setup.
If you keep up with Netflix’s Korean originals, this one looks like an easy add to the list. It actually premiered earlier in Busan on October 7, 2026, where reports said either three or four episodes were shown, and Netflix still hasn’t said anything about a second season.
You can stream Dead-End Job on Netflix now.
