Few streaming services have Disney+’s catalog. Not to mention none, at least if we look at it from the perspective of science fiction and superheroes. Acquiring the rights to Star Wars and Marvel didn’t come cheap for them, but Disney has known how to make use of them.

For me, it’s one of the biggest surprises of the entire 2023 service. With great hype preceding it, the usual expectation would have been for it to deflate. But nothing could be further from the truth.
The entire season is uploaded, so you can enjoy all the episodes whenever and however you want: it’s perfect for binge-watching, but it’s also enjoyable in small doses.
Only Murders in the Building
The fourth season has already been commissioned following the success of the recently released third season. “Only Murders in the Building” is one of those impossible series that still manage to find their way into the world’s most mainstream streaming services.
For me, it’s a delight in this cruel and unjust world. “Only Murders in the Building” is a breath of fresh air in a highly competitive and unoriginal industry. Thanks to Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez for making it happen. I love you all.
Elemental
It went unnoticed during its theatrical release, but since it arrived on Disney+’s streaming service, it has become the most-watched movie in the history of the application.
The message might not have filled theaters, but it certainly reached homes around the world. Millions of people have already seen it in 4K and HDR on Disney+, and it’s a spectacle that I enjoyed immensely. Both the story and the visual aspects are impressive.
The Mandalorian
Obviously, I love Star Wars, the space opera that has been with me since my early childhood. And if I have to recommend a series from this universe since Disney+ landed, it’s undoubtedly The Mandalorian.
Starring Pedro Pascal and Baby Yoda (Grogu, for friends), this spaghetti western turned series is a delight for both fans and newcomers. It’s a show that hooks you for many reasons; don’t miss out on it.
Loki
If you thought I’d forget to mention Loki, you must be mistaken. For me, among all the Marvel series, it’s the best. It offers a fascinating background of Odin’s son and a brilliant story.
They just released the second season, so if you subscribe now, you’ll have time to enjoy the adventures of a Loki who can’t quite find his place in the following weeks. Because, honestly, even we ourselves are having trouble understanding this second season.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3
It’s impossible to conclude the article about the movies and series you’d miss out on if you don’t take advantage of Disney+’s promotion without choosing the film that has been the most beloved in the Marvel universe in the past 4 years, since the end of The Avengers in End Game.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is absolutely incredible in every way. It concludes a story that began a decade ago with Rocket’s origins. I didn’t expect to cry during this movie, but that’s exactly what happened. I’m not ashamed to admit it; every tear was worth it. Thank you, James Gunn, for this masterpiece.
