Video game adaptations are currently enjoying a very favorable moment. After years of disappointment where it was terrifying to see a game adapted into movies or series, lately we’ve had some real gems like The Last of Us, Arcane, and Super Mario Bros. These three titles have set a precedent to follow, and now there’s even a live-action feature film in production for The Legend of Zelda.
Amidst this situation, Amazon Prime Video has made its move with Fallout. The hugely famous sandbox video game will have its own adaptation in the form of a series, and it’s set to arrive much sooner than any of us could have imagined.

First images of the Fallout series
Amazon Prime Video has already shared the first images of the upcoming Fallout series. Undoubtedly, they are very reminiscent of the video game but with a cinematic touch that will delight fans of the saga. Here are all of them:
What is the Fallout series about?
The official synopsis of Fallout makes it clear that we’re dealing with the same story as the video game, but with a narrative viewpoint that makes it very interesting:
“Fallout is set in a future where the world has been destroyed due to a nuclear war in 2077, resulting in a post-apocalyptic world in the year 2161 inhabited by mutants and humans. The latter survive through anti-nuclear bunkers built by a company called Vault-Tec. But when the water chip in the bunker malfunctions, one person must embark on a mission to find a new one and venture into this post-apocalyptic world that seeks to end them.”
When does the Fallout series premiere?
Fallout will premiere on April 12, 2024, so very soon we might have new information about the series.
