Fortnite just rolled out v41.10, and as of today, June 25, 2026, the Boss Sprite is live in Chapter 7 Season 3.
If you’re trying to get one, the most reliable route is killing Voidblade, Wolfe, or Skeletor. All three bosses can also drop Mythic weapons, but they don’t appear right away. Their spawn points rotate, and they only show up after the first storm circle closes. When you get within roughly 200 meters of a boss location, a skull icon pops up on your mini-map, so loot fast and rotate early.
The Boss Sprite is worth grabbing if you want more staying power late game. It boosts your maximum health and shields, and that bonus gets bigger as you level the Boss Sprite.
You can also pull one from a chest or take it off a player you’ve eliminated, though those options are a lot less dependable.
If you want to keep the Boss Sprite for good, you have to extract it at an Extraction Point or by using a Portable Extractor. And if you’re heading for a boss, know what you’re walking into. Voidblade attacks from above. Wolfe is quick and can teleport over short distances. Skeletor regenerates shields.
Bring mobility. Stay near cover. And expect third parties, because getting out alive is the hard part.
