It is becoming increasingly clear that if there’s someone who can make a miracle happen, it’s Ryan Reynolds. After a disastrous failure as Green Lantern and with his first portrayal of Deadpool in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, the actor made a tremendous effort to convince Fox that his character deserved a movie, and the gamble resulted in two incredibly successful films, despite being rated R.
Now, following the acquisition of Fox by Disney, Deadpool is back with a third movie that, it seems, will stay true to what has been done so far. The plan is for Deadpool to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, so there will likely be some multiverse elements like in the recent Marvel films. However, the truly exciting news is the inclusion of a hero who seemed to have retired for good: Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine.

A Wolverine as we always wanted
That’s right, the star of Les Misérables and The Greatest Showman will be returning with his iconic character in Deadpool 3. It’s not surprising, as Deadpool and Wolverine have always had a recurring presence in each other’s adventures, with an evident and entertaining rivalry.
But the best news we’ve received is actually a secret revealed by Screen Rant that seems to be coming true. It’s been reported that Wolverine in Deadpool 3 will be sporting the classic yellow comic book costume. After the acquisition of Fox and entry into the Disney universe, it appears that the company wants his appearance to be more faithful to the original, leaving behind any previous reservations. They have reportedly prepared the original yellow spandex suit for the character.
If this turns out to be true, before his final farewell (which we already witnessed in Logan), we will have a 100% original Wolverine as we originally imagined, and Hugh Jackman will finally bid farewell to the character before passing the torch to someone else.
