Technology continues to advance relentlessly. WiFi 7 connectivity, which reaches new heights in terms of speed and security, will be the new step for wireless connection in 2024. However, leaked Intel documents indicate that if our PC doesn’t run on Windows 11, this connectivity would be incompatible with our system.
This content, leaked by user g01d3nm4ngo on Twitter, reveals that the necessary drivers for this technological advancement are not compatible with Windows 10 or earlier versions. Therefore, Windows users would be compelled to keep their operating system up to date if they want to enjoy WiFi 7.
Faster Than Ever Wireless Internet
WiFi 7 connectivity is set to become the fastest wireless connection we’ve ever experienced. In fact, it’s estimated that the top speed of WiFi 7 could quadruple the maximum speed of the best current wireless connections. This would mean that even the heaviest downloads could be completed in a matter of seconds or a few minutes.
However, as indicated by the leaked Intel document, Windows 10 will no longer be compatible with this connectivity. While this might disappoint some, considering that Windows 11 is in its third year of existence, it’s evident that Microsoft’s gradual phasing out of Windows 10 will continue to grow.
Microsoft’s updates
However, that doesn’t mean Microsoft will immediately abandon support for Windows 10. In fact, in recent days, users of this older system have been able to enjoy an update focused on the Windows 10 photo app, adding various functionalities that were also part of the Windows 11 photo app.
Operating systems have a beginning and an end of life. It’s quite clear that the end of Windows 10 is getting closer, while Windows 11 still has many years ahead as the company’s main system. However, some users have already started to imagine what Windows 12 will be like and have come up with some very interesting concepts.
