The Apple event “Let Loose”, which has been the subject of so many rumors, is now official. We are facing the presentation of several new iPads and other surprises revolving around them. Products that have already been officially presented are gathered here: everything Apple has presented at the Let Loose event.
New iPad Air 2024: versatility and power
In line with the updates of its older brother, the iPad Air has also received a notable renovation. Apple has decided to expand the Air line by adding a 13-inch iPad Air to the existing 10.9-inch model. A very interesting option to enjoy a large screen without having to resort to the higher performance of the iPad Pro.
The new iPad Air maintains a similar design to the current iPad Air, with an aluminum chassis and rounded flat edges. However, unlike the Pro, and as before, these models continue to use LCD screen technology with their liquid display.

The new iPad Air is 50% faster than the previous version. This is due to its M2 chip, which brings a very substantial improvement in the neural engine of these iPads. Now we can also enjoy the new support for floating pointer with the Apple Pencil.
We can now book the new iPad Air, with the first units arriving in stores and to the first customers next week. The starting price is $599.
New iPad Pro 2024: a leap into the future
The new models of iPad Pro have been the protagonists of the event, presenting OLED screens for the first time in sizes of 11.1 inches (with a reduced thickness from 5.9 mm to 5.1 mm) and 12.9 inches (with a reduced thickness from 6.4 mm to 5.3 mm). These screens offer us more vibrant colors and deeper blacks, and they do so by improving the device’s energy efficiency.

The Tandem OLED technology, known for its ability to individually control pixels, is put to work on two panels in these iPads and, if it already looks spectacular on iPhones, it will now make all content enjoy a much greater dynamic range and brightness like no other device.

In addition, the new iPad Pro is now thinner, which contributes to a more elegant and modern aesthetic. On the screen, we can choose a nanotextured glass, which reduces unwanted reflections and glare. An improvement to consider in order to use this iPad anywhere.

Inside these iPad Pro, we find the new M4 focused on artificial intelligence, which represents a very significant leap in power, 50% more than the previous generation, and performance. With a great improvement in the Neural Engine, this new chip allows the iPad Pro to handle more demanding tasks with efficiency and speed never seen before, ideal for creative uses and when we want superior performance in our daily activities.
Along with the new iPads, Apple has released the second version of Final Cut and Logic Pro. Their two most professional applications have been completely redesigned for a touch interface. Rendering is twice as fast in Final Cut. We can use the iPad to produce shots with multiple cameras. Up to four cameras managed from a single iPad. Cameras that, on the iPad, now enjoy a new flash.
As for the front camera, Apple has relocated this camera to the long side of the device, thus optimizing its use in horizontal orientation, a significant improvement for video calls and video recordings.
We can reserve the new iPad Pro starting today, with the first units arriving in stores and to the first customers next week. The starting price is $999.
New Magic Keyboard for iPad: closer than ever to a MacBook

The new Magic Keyboard has been designed to perfectly complement the new iPad models. Much lighter, with action keys, a larger trackpad, and a more elegant finish, the new Magic Keyboard takes the iPad experience to a new level of functionality and comfort, bringing the iPad closer to the Mac like never before.
New Apple Pencil Pro: much more accessible
The Apple Pencil has also undergone a significant update. The new generation, called Apple Pencil Pro, incorporates haptic feedback for the first time. A feature that completely changes the way we interact with our applications, allowing us to feel subtle vibrations that mimic the sensation of drawing or writing on different surfaces.

If that wasn’t enough, the new Apple Pencil has more gestures. With a press on the body of the pencil, we will be able to perform actions such as activating tools and calling up an action selector within applications in a comfortable and fast way.
The new Apple Pencil is compatible with the Find app. Rotating the Apple Pencil changes the shape of the brush on the screen. The floating pointer along with the pressure gesture creates new interactions and all of this is powered by haptic feedback to know what we are doing without even looking at the screen.
And with these products, the Let Loose event comes to an end. One in which the best iPads have become even more capable, powerful, and versatile. One in which the accessories around the iPad are renewed and one, very important, that leaves the doors open for a very special WWDC 2024—just over a month away.
