Loki has become one of the most prestigious series not only in Marvel but in the current entertainment landscape. Beyond the recent setbacks the studio had, the show starring Tom Hiddleston has proven to be a success in its second season, as it was with the first in the past.
The series, in fact, has turned the entire Marvel Multiverse upside down, and the events of the last episode foreshadow a very interesting future for its upcoming productions. But what comes after Loki? What will we face in Marvel in its upcoming movies and series?
An exciting future
The first things we will see from Marvel Studios soon are ‘The Marvels’ and ‘Echo,‘ a movie and series that are coming out shortly and, despite having nothing to do with each other, already make it clear that Marvel is thinking more about its future than its past. But these are not the productions that interest us the most; it’s the ones that have more to do with the Multiverse, as both Phase 5 and the next one (Phase 6) will close this saga.
The end of Loki made it clear that, in the near future, a great multiversal war will come to Marvel, and with it, we will see how all the realities impact until only one timeline remains standing. First, we will witness this through Kang, the villain played by Jonathan Majors, who has appeared regularly and whom we will see, in principle, in Avengers: Kang Dynasty.
But this crossing of realities will make more sense when we see it in Avengers: Secret Wars, this great multiversal war where nothing will be as it seems, and all realities will collide. If everything goes according to plan, it will be the gateway to the X-Men (as we have already seen in the post-credits scene of The Marvels) and many other characters hidden in other realities.
