Lost’s “The Constant,” Season 4, Episode 5 of ABC’s Lost, first aired on February 28, 2008. Eighteen years later, it still feels like the episode people point to when they talk about what the show could do, and it keeps showing up on lists of the greatest TV episodes ever made.
Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof wrote it, and the premise is pure Lost: after exposure to electromagnetism, Desmond Hume’s consciousness starts jumping between 1996 and 2004.
