Ted Lasso is officially coming back. Apple TV+ has renewed the comedy for season 4, which premieres August 5, 2026, after months of speculation that season 3 might really have been the end of the story.
Season 4 runs for 10 episodes, with new installments arriving weekly on Wednesdays through October 7. And it’s not just picking up where AFC Richmond left off. This time, Ted heads back to Richmond to coach a second-division women’s football team, a turn the season 3 finale had already hinted at when Keeley Jones pitched Rebecca Welton on launching an AFC Richmond women’s side.
Jason Sudeikis returns as Ted Lasso, joined again by Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, and Jeremy Swift. The new season also adds Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern, and Grant Feely.
Sudeikis formally signing on is said to have been one of the big milestones behind the scenes. There’s also some real optimism internally that the show can tap back into what made season 1 click so well, and people are already talking about a new three-season run.
If you were hoping for an actual next chapter, not just a nostalgia play, this one looks like it may be worth your time. Ted Lasso season 4 will stream on Apple TV+.
