FOUNTAINS comes to PS5, Xbox Series, and Switch in 2026 with Shattered Shape DLC

FOUNTAINS is headed to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch in 2026. It’s arriving alongside the Shattered Shape expansion.

If you missed it on PC, this will be your first shot at playing FOUNTAINS on console. Expect tight combat, a maze-like interconnected world that moves from area to area without obvious breaks, progression built around shortcuts and hidden paths, and an online message system where players leave hints and warnings. Shattered Shape adds a new region too, plus fresh weapons, armor, and skills.

There’s also a free update coming to every version of the game. It adds adjustable difficulty settings and more language support, which should make FOUNTAINS easier to get into without sanding off what makes it what it is.

If tough action RPGs are your thing, this one looks like it deserves a spot on your list. FOUNTAINS launched on Steam on December 20, 2024, after solo developer John Pywell funded it through Kickstarter in 2022. Crunching Koalas is publishing the game, and it currently holds a Very Positive rating on Steam, with 85% positive reviews from 399 user reviews, along with more than 8,000 copies sold by early 2025.

You’ll be able to pick up FOUNTAINS on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC in 2026.
