CBS has renewed Marshals for season 2. The Spencer Hudnut drama follows Kayce Dutton after he leaves the Yellowstone ranch and joins an elite U.S. Marshals unit, and CBS says it’ll return on Sunday, October 4, 2026 at 8:30 p.m. EDT.
The premiere won’t start in its usual 8 p.m. slot. An NFL doubleheader is pushing Marshals back by 30 minutes, so the opener is airing later than normal. If the schedule stays the same, the show should move back to its regular Sunday 8 p.m. time on October 11, which is a pretty standard football-season shuffle.
The series picks up with Kayce after he steps away from the Yellowstone ranch and signs on with an elite U.S. Marshals unit. Since it’s built around a case-of-the-week format, it’s also easy to jump into even if you’ve never watched Yellowstone.
CBS renewed Marshals in March 2026, not long after its March 1 premiere, after calling it a breakout success across platforms. Season 1 ran for 13 episodes and wrapped in late May, and season 2 is expected to be a little bigger, somewhere around 18 to 20 episodes.
There’s still no international release date, including for Paramount+ in the UK, and CBS hasn’t said anything yet about major new characters, crossover appearances, or how closely season 2 will tie into the larger Yellowstone world. In the U.S., you’ll be able to watch Marshals on CBS.
