For Netflix, 2024 is the year of science fiction. The streaming platform not only wants to lead in the world of thriller or horror, but is making its way through genres that were previously dominated by other platforms like Apple TV+.
Netflix’s biggest bet for next year is The Three-Body Problem, the new series from the creators of Game of Thrones with which Netflix wants to leave the rest of the VOD services in the dust. But along with this series, it will bring other good news, such as The Kitchen and, in this case, Spaceman, Adam Sandler’s new film. So far, we have received a quite encouraging teaser trailer:
Adam Sandler, space suits and aliens?
Spaceman is not, by any means, your typical Adam Sandler movie. The famous actor has been exploring his more dramatic side in acting for years, and in this case, he will do so in a film directed by none other than Johan Renck, director of the series Chernobyl.
In the cast of The Astronaut, the names of Carey Mulligan, Paul Dano, Kunal Nayyar, Lena Olin, and Isabella Rossellini also appear. In this way, it is a top-level film that aims to recover Sandler’s good work in films like Uncut Gems.
The release date of the movie is set for March 1, 2024. In this way, everything seems to indicate that over the next few months we will be receiving more information about the film, its plot, and everything related to its impressive production design. Undoubtedly, the movie seems to be out of this world.
