Nintendo has updated its Nintendo Music app with more Mario Kart World Free Roam songs, part of the weekly rollout it started on June 1, 2026. This latest batch adds new arrangements built from music originally heard in Mario Kart DS and Mario Kart Wii.
Nintendo still isn’t dropping the full soundtrack all at once. It’s coming in weekly batches, so each time you open the app there’s a handful of new tracks waiting. The rollout began on June 1, 2026 with 130 songs already in place, and the Mario Kart World soundtrack on Nintendo Music now stretches past eight hours. That tracks with what’s in the game itself: Mario Kart World Free Roam has an in-game jukebox with more than 200 newly arranged songs pulled from older Mario and Mario Kart titles, all remixed to fit a more atmospheric, scenic drive.
The slow release schedule keeps Mario Kart World visible week after week, and it gives people a reason to keep checking the app. It also keeps the complaints coming, since plenty of listeners are tired of how slowly Nintendo Music adds full soundtracks. Still, the music itself has gotten a lot of praise for its size, its polished production, and that live-instrument feel. A few listeners just wish it covered a wider stylistic range.
If you already use Nintendo Music a lot, or you’ve been waiting for more Mario Kart World tracks, this is an update you’ll probably want. The app has also been growing in useful ways, with tablet support, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a clean ad-free interface, and strong playback quality. Composer credits are still absent, though.
Nintendo Music is available on iOS, Android, and the web. Nintendo’s music streaming service still requires a Nintendo Switch Online subscription.
