The popular Netflix series Stranger Things will officially say goodbye with its fifth season, which will be released in two volumes. Volume 1 will arrive on November 26, followed by Volume 2 on December 25 and Volume 3 on December 31. With this season, the main series will conclude its narrative, added Matt Duffer during a recent interview with Variety.

Despite the series’ closure, the creators, the Duffer brothers, have confirmed that a spin-off is in development. However, specific details about its content are scarce. According to Ross Duffer, the spin-off “will live in a slightly different world,” with “a connective tissue” that suggests a link to the original story, but without expanding too much on the existing mythology, which could become convoluted.
The production of the spin-off has been shrouded in great secrecy, even executive producer Shawn Levy has indicated that he has no information about its development. Levy commented that the creative environment of the Duffer is “sacred” and highlights the excitement of extending the life of the Stranger Things narrative. However, he emphasized that it should not be considered an “expanding universe,” as that might sound excessive.
Regarding the duration of the episodes of the final season, it has been revealed that the first episode will last 1 hour and 8 minutes, the second will be 54 minutes, the third will be 1 hour and 6 minutes, and the fourth will reach 1 hour and 23 minutes.
