DLCs have a bad reputation, probably because they often don’t add much value. Whether they’re cosmetics, cut content, or a way to monetize game progression, they can be a means to get players to open their wallets multiple times unnecessarily. That’s why it’s not surprising that they are viewed with skepticism. Every time a studio announces a DLC, many eyebrows are raised. However, it’s also possible to create good DLCs that are interesting and provide something different for the player.
Powerwash Simulator has consistently demonstrated this to us. This pressure washer cleaning simulator is not only tremendously satisfying, but it also allows us to make everything around us shine like new. At least within the game. And now, Futurlab has announced their new DLC, this time based on Back to the Future.
This DLC will include several scenarios, as well as many elements from this iconic 80s movie trilogy that more than one generation has grown up with. Allowing us to clean the DeLorean, Doc’s van, the Hill Valley clock tower, the Holomax theater, and the time machine in a Back to the Future III locomotive, it lets us immerse ourselves in the three legendary films by Robert Zemeckis. Maybe not to take a trip to the Old West or unknowingly meet and unfortunately seduce our mothers, but certainly to perform necessary cleaning tasks.
This DLC will be priced at €7.99 and will be available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Additionally, at the recent Microsoft Partner Preview event, the folks at Futurlabs announced their upcoming game, Ikaro: Will Not Die. A curious futuristic-themed action roguelite that, while having little to do with pressure washer cleaning, we will look forward to as we clean our DeLorean.
