OpenAI is making ChatGPT more direct: less talking and more acting

OpenAI has announced today that premium users of ChatGPT – customers who pay for ChatGPT Plus, Team, or Enterprise – can now enjoy an updated and improved version of GPT-4 Turbo, one of the models that enhance the conversational experience of ChatGPT.

This new model brings improvements in writing, mathematics, logical reasoning, and programming, according to OpenAI, as well as an updated knowledge base.

“When you write with ChatGPT [with the new GPT-4 Turbo], the responses will be more direct, less verbose, and use a more conversational language,” writes OpenAI in a Twitter post.

The ChatGPT update, which follows the Tuesday release of new models from the OpenAI API, specifically GPT-4 Turbo with Vision, which adds image understanding capabilities to GPT-4 Turbo, which normally only works with text, comes after a very challenging week for OpenAI’s image.

According to reports, Microsoft proposed last year to use OpenAI’s popular image generation tool, DALL-E, to help the Department of Defense build software to carry out military operations.
