Movie playlists are becoming more and more common, especially when it’s an action movie where the music sets the pace. A few days ago we brought you the complete playlist of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Following the usual style of James Gunn, the film has dozens of hits from the eighties and nineties that the director has recovered for the story of Peter Quill, Rocket and company. But this is not even the best playlist of the month.
As usual with the Fast & Furious saga, the Universal movie has its own contemporary soundtrack, and it has just been presented exclusively. Far from following the tone of James Gunn, in this case it features mostly original songs, along with necessary tributes such as Gasolina by Daddy Yankee.
A disc full of stars
The Fast X soundtrack could be any regular Spotify playlist, as it features collaborations with some of the most acclaimed artists of the moment. The most striking song is Toretto, a track performed by J Balvin that looks set to bring the Colombian’s urban beat to the film.
But there are many other interesting tracks. Maria Becerra has also joined the top of the soundtrack authors with her hit Te cura, and Skrillex himself is back in fashion with his track Vai Sentando. Tracks by Daddy Yankee or The Notorious B.I.G join the party, and leave room for new stars like Lil Durk, Kai Cenat or Big X Tha Plug.
